As the Covid-19 pandemic affected everyone across the world, virtual events took the forefront. Playcrafting was founded on its community of indie game developers, using its events as places to meet up, collaborate, and show off work. Because of the obvious digital connection that already exists within the video game industry, it was an easy transition to host everything online through platforms like Twitch, YouTube, and Zoom. Classes, workshops, demo presentations, and even trivia nights and happy hours were held virtually, bringing the community together despite physical limitations.

I served as the Events Manager, handling the logistics for all participants in virtual events. I communicated technical instructions, worked with streaming producers, and expanded the community by reaching out to other prominent industry professionals outside of NYC. I collaborated with the Marketing Director to determine the strategy for the transition and facilitated the execution of it.
